Bible: Study memory verse. I will test on Monday since it is a longer verse.
Share and Discuss:
  • What are some things we feel on the inside that God sees and knows?
  • What does it make me think and how does it make me feel to know that God sees me, feels my hurt, and always acts in LOVE toward me?
​Activity:
Be creative! Use recycled items from your house to create the "Moses in a Basket scene". Use cupcake holders for the basket or cardboard. Use green paper for the tall grass, colored cellophane for the water. You can use a paper plate to paste your creation. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Math & Language Arts: 
Below are student logins. Passwords are their first names.
Storytime/SEL:
PE: Skill - Hopping
  • Use a line to hop side to side or forwards and backwards.
  • Hop up onto small heights like curbs.
  • Hop down and “stick the landing” to help with injury prevention and increase single limb strength and stability.
  • Play hopscotch (can write spelling words in each square. Say then spell when you hop in each square).
Spelling Test: List 5 for both 1st and 2nd grade.
  • Please give the spelling test to your child. Bring completed spelling test to school on Monday.
Science: We have been learning about the Nervous System
  • Students need to draw a diagram of the human body and label the brain, nerves, and spinal cord. Pick one (brain, nerves, or spinal cord) and tell me how it is an important part of the nervous system and what its function is.

I don't expect you to understand every word that is said in these videos. We are working on understanding the basic idea and on hearing a lot of Spanish spoken. Next week we will be learning about the life cycle of butterflies and we'll hear this information again. The more times you hear the Spanish words, the better. Feel free to pause the video and allow yourself to think about what is happening. Repeating parts of the video is also helpful.
